 Blackpool (North Pier & Town Centre) 1932 - published 1995; intro by Nick Burton Sorry! Out of print The 1910 version covers the central area of Blackpool, from the Imperial Hotel southward to Hornby Road, and from the shore eastward to the Raikes Hall Hotel. Many of Blackpool's most famous features are here, including the Tower, North Pier, Talbot Road (later North) station with excursion platforms and engine shed, Winter Gardens, Talbot Square, Hotel Metropole, The Palace, tramways. Around these are crowded streets, many such as Albert Road full of boarding houses. On the reverse we include 1934 street directory entries for Abingdon Street, Albert Road, Cocker Street, Corporation Street, Market Street, Victoria Street. The 1932 version covers a larger area, for this map is double-sided to include sheet 50.16 and extends coverage further south, including Central station, Central Pier, the Golden Mile, Bloomfield Road. Sheet 50.12 links up with Sheets 50.08 Blackpool North Shore to the north, 50.16 Blackpool Central Pier to the south.
